Who is Jade Advisory?
I am the founder and director of Jade Advisory Ltd. Jade Advisory is an independent consultancy supporting organisations of all sizes and in all sectors to move towards a net zero carbon world. A reduced environmental footprint and continuous improvement leads to happy customers, happy employees, happy shareholders and a happy community on a beautiful planet.
My broad knowledge of sustainability is the result of over 20 years of experience in the clean energy sector and in leading strategic and professional sustainability roles.
There are many things I have done in my professional career which I am proud of. This includes:
project managed the development of several large scale wind farms in Scandinavia, South Africa and Turkey;
initiated and implemented sustainability policy and strategy for a leading global renewable energy company;
instigated a collaboration platform for key stakeholders in the European wind energy industry;
successfully running the SDGs Network MeetUp in London - and in Milton Keynes, together these networks now have more than 1,200 members;
starting my blog site Lowcarbon Woman and having blogs published on edie.net;
starting my own podcast.
I have an MSc in Engineering and a Masters in Sustainability & Responsbility (with distinction) from Ashridge - Hult Executive Education.
When I am not working with my lovely clients, I like to spend time with my two children and my partner. I drag them out on walks in nature - to be honest, they tend not to complain too much! I also enjoy snuggling up on the sofa with my one-eyed cat Nelson, knitting cosy jumpers and reading a good book. I am a flexitarian, meaning I mainly eat vegetarian food, doing my best to live the way I teach!
I hope to speak with you soon. Perhaps over a cup of coffee at the RSA (Royal Society of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce) where I am a Fellow - they have very nice coffee, tea and yummy treats!
